Wiring Identification.
I posted this in general chat, but then thought it may be better in the forum. I have an Android head unit but it seems that all the features do not work properly, mainly to do with reading the canbus, so I removed the unit to check the wiring and I have one connection spare coming from the head unit. This is not really surprising as I have never found a car yet that has the same connections, so it may just be a common adaptor, but I have three wires in the car that I have no idea wh -

New head unit
Ian24 ·Hi all. Can anyone help me with a replacement head unit for my Toyota alphard ANH20W 2008/9 2.4. having a lot of conflicting info regarding plug n play. There seems to be a lot of differences between the cabling and ports on the rear of my original sterio. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As you can see I've added pictures of the back and front of the head unit which may help.inn24🐉😎 -
Powerslide door problem
My 2004 Alphard has power slide doors on both sides. Offside works perfectly in all modes. Nearside works manually, when you use handle, dash button or remote to power open it gives long beep and doesn't move. Similarly if you try to close it. I've looked at all the obvious things (esp for nearside door) so its not a window open or the fuel filler cap open. I'm told the cable is OK. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find more information, what it might be, or who can fix it?

Hybrid owners - any regrets?
arthurj ·I’m torn between a late 1st gen hybrid and an early 2nd gen 2.4l. The first tend to be slightly cheaper but there aren’t as many around. Apart from the fuel efficiency I like the idea of mild 4wd, which I think would be too much for a 2.4. But are there any problems with the hybrids that would make it a pain to live with?

Warning Light
Matt ·A couple of days ago my Alphard Hybrid would not start as I’d left the internal light on. Charged it up and it started but drove rather strangely, lacking power. Anyway, drove it on a very short run today and it seemed fine but a red car warning light with a red exclamation mark (all very scary) has come on. Anyone know what this is/what to do? All help appreciated -
E10 Fuel compatibility.
I understand that standard 95 octane fuel is due to be phased out soon. Typically the Alphard is not listed on gov E10 fuel checker website. By my reckoning the 3.0 1MZ-FE is ok on E10 fuel, however it appears that the 2.4 2AZ-FE is not compatible. In which case it looks like all of you 2.4 drivers need to fill up on super unleaded from later in the summer. https://check-vehicle-compatibility-e10-petrol.service.gov.uk/manufacturer/ -
